“Where L.A. feels like home,” Rancho Park is a residential neighborhood in West Los Angeles, California and is characterized by its small-town feel. Trees line the roads in this suburban community, and most dwellings are beautiful single-family Spanish Colonial bungalows and ranch-style homes. Rancho Park homeowners know to trust Newton for their plumbing needs.
Rancho Park’s downtown area is walkable, and the whole neighborhood measures only a cozy 0.6 square mile. Rancho Park sits between the Cheviot Hills and Westwood communities. Its boundaries are generally defined as: Olympic Boulevard to the north, National Boulevard to the south, Manning Avenue to the east, and the San Diego Freeway (I-405) to the west. Although Rancho Park is a laid back and comforting place to be, excitement is only a short drive away.
The population totaled 4,556 in 2008 according to the L.A. Department of City Planning estimates. The predominant demographic includes young professionals and families. An impressive nearly 50% of adults over the age of 25 hold a four-year degree, above average for the city and county of Los Angeles. With such an intelligent population, it is no wonder why they choose Newton Plumbing above the competition.
The community took form beginning in the 1930s when its residents wanted to break away from its northern area. After World War II, Rancho Park officially became independent from Westwood, which it used to be part of. A man named Bill Heyler, a prominent businessman heavily involved in the community, pioneered Rancho Park and is responsible for its namesake.
Bill Heyler also lobbied for the creation of the famous Rancho Park Golf Course. This professional-grade golf course has hosted such events as the PGA Senior Open, the Los Angeles Open, and numerous LPGA tour events. It is the major recreational attraction of the Rancho Park community. The current junior par record of 64 (-7) is held by Tiger Woods, who set the record in 1989 when he was only 13 years old.
We opened our doors a year previous to the Rancho Park Golf Course. We have been serving West Los Angeles neighborhoods since 1946 and have been BBB accredited since 1999. With an A+ rating, we are Rancho Park’s most trusted plumbing service company.
