Newton Plumbing is a Southern California institution steeped in a rich tradition of experience and excellence that dates back to its inception in 1946.

Ernest I. Newton founded Newton Plumbing just as the G.I.'s were coming home from the "Big War" WWII. The G.I. Bill was in full swing and our country's heroes were able to buy their first home upon their triumphant return. Many of these affordable homes, sold new for as little as $3,000 and were built in our Westside community. Ernie Newton, as the folks in the community would come to know him, was an enterprising man who astutely picked the right place and the right time to offer a vital service to our neighborhood.

As the years went by Ernie raised his family here in West Los Angeles and continued serving the area. He was dedicated to give his customers an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. Many Westsider's remember back, to when they would drive by Newton's "modern" facility on Overland Avenue when they were just kids. Today, Newton Plumbing is located in the same place and continues to be there for our customers.

When the time came, the management of the business was turned over to Ernie's son, Jack, who with his wife, Winelle, successfully ran the business for decades. As the years have gone by Newton has expanded its service area.

As a positive and reliable household and business resource, Newton Plumbing, has been trusted and referred from generation to generation by thousands of Westsiders for many years.

After a thorough search and careful consideration for the right person to carry on the legacy, Jack Newton, who had been approached by many people, handed over the Newton legacy to Scott Crothers, a third generation, native born Californian. A WLA plumbing professional, closing in on 20 years, Scott is proud to have been chosen by Jack and his wife Winelle, who speak of Scott as an adopted son, to carry the mantle of the important business that Ernest Newton started over 60 years ago.

Today, Newton Plumbing is a growing, vital and trustworthy place that discerning people can look to for a quality job, at a fair and reasonable price.
